Kimberly Wright-Violich is responsible for the management and distribution of over $1.54 billion in philanthropic assets for individuals and families nationwide. The San Francisco-based Schwab Charitable Fund™ is an independent nonprofit founded by The Charles Schwab Corporation, and since its inception in 1999 has issued more than 150,000 charitable grants to more than 32,000 public charities.

 

Prior to joining the Fund in 2000, Wright-Violich served for 14 years in leadership positions at major nonprofit organizations including KQED Public TV-FM, Marin Montessori School in California and the Junior League of San Francisco.


Throughout her career, Wright-Violich has held volunteer leadership roles at the Volunteer Center of San Francisco, Marin Youth in Art, Non-Profit Resource Center, Grace Cathedral, San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary and Santa Catalina School in Monterey, CA.

 

Wright-Violich earned her Bachelor of Science degree in public policy and science from Stanford University, completed post-graduate work at the Mass Media Institute at Stanford and completed Harvard Business School's program Governing for Non-Profit Excellence.
