James D. Peterson leads the Quantitative Analysis group at the Schwab Center for Financial Research.

 

Prior to joining Schwab, Peterson and was an assistant professor at the University of Notre Dame. He was voted “Outstanding Teacher” in BusinessWeek’s “Guide to the Best Business Schools” in 1997.

 

He received his Ph.D. in finance from Louisiana State University.


Peterson has been published in several leading academic and professional journals. He is a frequent contributor to Market Insight on schwab.com, and his more recent research findings can be found in a variety of media.
