Employee Resource Groups

Promoting Mutual Support and Collaboration

Employee Resource Groups offer a network within the company for individuals who share a common orientation or interest based on ethnicity, gender, interest in specific community or cultural activities, lifestyles, etc.

Open to all Schwab employees, these groups encourage mutual support and collaboration, and help promote a greater awareness of diversity. Each Employee Resource Group is supported by an executive sponsor who provides leadership development, coaching and guidance.

Schwab’s Employee Resource Groups support our efforts to become a company of choice for talent and investors from the diverse communities we serve. Members support Schwab’s purpose by participating in a variety of workplace, business and professional development, education, and community outreach activities designed to promote financial fitness. These events are tailored to meet the unique needs of the different groups and organizations that make up our communities.

A sampling of these activities include:

  • The Black Professional Association of Charles Schwab (BPACS) implemented a multi-faceted strategy to promote financial fitness and careers at Schwab during the 2007 Indiana and Oakland Black Expos, which received the highest recognition from Schwab’s company-wide recognition program.
