October 2009: Schwab ranked highest in overall customer satisfaction among investors in the J.D. Power and Associates 2009 Self-Directed Investor Satisfaction StudySM.
May 2009: Schwab ranked number 3 overall, ahead of 13 other firms, in SmartMoney's annual survey of discount and full-service brokerages. Schwab also earned a best-of-category score in Research and was named the magazine’s top choice for Research.
2008
May 2008: Schwab's High-Yield Investor Checking account was awarded Best Checking Account by Money magazine in its The 100 Best list.
May 2008: Barron's ranked Schwab number five in its annual Barron's 500, a unique ranking of the 500 largest (by sales) publicly traded companies in the U.S. and Canada.
March 2008: Schwab ranked number four in the Securities category of Fortune's Most Admired Companies list.
2007
- For the second consecutive year, Schwab was ranked on Computerworld's list of Top 100 Places to Work in IT. Schwab jumped 44 places in one year to rank 53rd overall for 2007 and 24th among companies with more than 10,000 employees.
- Schwab ranked number four in the top five online brokers in June's Consumer Reports magazine. Schwab received an overall score of 85 and was rated 'Excellent' in the categories of Banking & Asset Management, Research & Education and Customer Support.
- The San Francisco Chronicle named Charles R. Schwab its CEO of the Year.
- Schwab's Talk to Chuck™ advertising campaign won the Grand Ogilvy Award in the ARF David Ogilvy Awards. Schwab was cited as "the best of the best" for successfully utilizing research to produce an ad campaign that achieves exceptional business results.
- Schwab's careers website ranked number six in the The Top Employer Web Benchmark 2007 done by Potentialpark, a research and consulting firm specializing in recruitment communication.
- Barron’s awarded first place for five-year performance to a model portfolio based on Schwab Equity Ratings® – this time for the five-year period ending December 31, 2006. Schwab previously won twice for five-year performance and posted two consecutive wins in the three-year category.
