Defined Contribution Plans – TPA Solution
For small- to mid-sized companies, Schwab delivers a full menu of services through a nationwide network of more than 300 retirement Third Party Administrators (TPAs). Services include: daily valuation recordkeeping, administration and ERISA compliance, managed by a TPA in the local community; professional trust and custody support provided by Schwab; wide investment choice and flexibility; onsite investment guidance; participant education materials; and Web-based tools and technology for plan sponsors and participants.
For the TPA, Schwab provides trustee and custody services, participant education, marketing support, plan expense payments and lead sharing. Schwab Retirement Technologies, a dedicated technology unit, provides retirement plan recordkeeping and participant servicing solutions to TPAs, as well as consulting firms, bank and trust companies, mutual fund companies, and insurance companies.

For mid- to large-sized companies, Schwab offers full-service plans featuring complete retirement services from a single source. Schwab's combined expertise in recordkeeping and related services, investment choice, participant education (including 401(k) advice) and high-end technology helps employers offer competitive employee benefits.
Defined Benefit Plans
Companies of any size can choose a bundled plan or select individual services to help enhance their existing defined benefit plan offering. Services include an online management system for investment selection, monitoring and reporting; actuarial consulting and trust/custody services; and comprehensive administration and participant services.
Self-directed Brokerage Account
The Schwab Personal Choice Retirement Account® (PCRA) easily integrates into a company's defined contribution plan to supplement the core fund menu, giving employees more access, choice and flexibility. Employees can select from a wide range of investment options, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds and more. Services also include a dedicated participant call center, a PCRA support team for plan sponsors and participant education and communications.
Nonqualified Deferred Compensation Services
Schwab offers executive compensation plans that employers can offer as a stand-alone benefit or integrate with other Schwab-serviced retirement plans. Schwab provides servicing for a wide spectrum of plans, ranging from 401(k) mirror to customized solutions, and can offer plan design support, implementation, funding, administration and trustee services.
Stock Plan Services
Solutions for stock option, restricted stock and employee stock purchase plans are available, with a choice of full or partial plan administration. Schwab offers expert guidance for employees, plus the technology to deliver benefits services efficiently. In addition, Schwab offers personal assistance to help executives manage complex equity compensation packages.
Designated Brokerage Services
Solutions that enable employers to meet the high standards of their compliance departments by helping them to efficiently monitor employees' personal trading. Schwab's offer includes an enhanced trade confirmation review process and leading edge data-exchange software to streamline employee trade surveillance.
Mutual Fund Clearing Services
Corporate & Retirement Services also includes Charles Schwab Clearing Services (CSCS), which provides mutual-fund trading, settlement, and related clearing services to a small number of banks, brokerage firms and trust companies. It was created in March 1997 as a way to offer institutions the same robust mutual-fund processing capabilities available to Schwab clients on a direct basis. In addition to clearing, CSCS also offers wrap account processing, providing fee-based simplified asset allocation, rebalancing to asset allocation models, performance calculations, fee-billing and average cost basis calculation.
